California dreaming...Wine favorites!

This is my final favorites post...and I am so excited to share it with ya'll!

Here are our favorite wineries from the trip!

Benziger Family Winery - Glen Ellen, CA: This place is an oasis. A short background - they utilize biodynamic farming practices (they are the highest level of organic farming). Such a cool principle! I didn't even know something like that existed! We opted for the Benziger Partners Estate Wine Tour & Exclusive Wine Tasting and OH MY GOSH was it worth the money. We started with a tour around the grounds where the sweet tour guide would stop so I could take pictures whenever I even looked like I was holding my camera up! After a tour of the breathtaking grounds, we went into the cave for our first tasting. After some incredible & unique wines we went up to a private tasting room and continued the fun! Here we had the opportunity of tasting 3 more wines plus their port which, with a little piece of Gihardelli dark chocolate, is an incredible dessert! Benziger is a MUST visit for any wine country trip!

Cakebread Cellars - Rutherford, CA: This place was so rustic & charming. We had called a few days before and made a reservation for the Select Tasting of the Current Release Wines . Definitely worth the call ahead because we were the only people in our group so we were able to try quite a few of the wines twice and ask whatever questions we wanted! One tip: if you are a wine glass collector like us, just ask at the end of your tour if you can keep it! They gave us our two glasses for free! The only regret I have about here is that we didn't go grab picnic stuff before we came because the grounds were incredibly stunning & wine country picturesque!

Our favorite wine: 2011 Napa Valley Syrah

We had such an amazing time in wine country, can't wait to go back and find some more favorites!

xoxo
