California dreaming...Dining favorites!

We ate so many incredible meals in California but these were definitely our favorites! Not only because of the wonderful food but the experiences were magical!

Here are our favorite restaurants from the trip!

Glen Ellen Star - Glen Ellen, CA: This place was my favorite dinner we had the entire trip! They sat us right behind the counter where the three cooks were like a well oiled machine cooking together! It was a fabulous and intoxicating site to see. To think about that meal STILL makes my mouth water! Also, an added bonus - after things slowed down we had a chance to chat with one of the chefs and he was such a lighthearted, genuine & passionate guy! So excited about every dish he cooked and had this amazingly infectious zest for life. Wonderful food, amazing wine & so many incredible memories made! Definitely our favorite meal of the trip!

Dinner @ Glen Ellen Star, we asked for a picture & this is what he did. How fun is he?!

Oakville Grocery - Oakville, CA: Must stop before a wine country picnic! They have to die for sandwiches, yummy treats & wine! Plus it is so close to some perfect picnic spots!

The Plant Cafe - San Francisco, CA: This meal was exactly what we needed after a long chilly walk down the pier! Started with some delish hot french press coffee & after we warmed up treated ourselves to some incredible homeade hummus! It was such a cozy yet modern restaurant, would definitely recommend to anyone in the San Francisco area!

CJ's Pantry - Redondo Beach, CA: This place was so down home and charming! Their whole wheat banana nut bread pancakes were to die for! It was our last meal in California and we had such a sweet time sitting at the window table people watching and reminiscing our favorite moments from the trip. An extra plus for this adorable place - super super affordable! And jam packed so it seems like a local favorite! It was definitely a favorite of ours!

This was from our dinner in San Francisco where Jacob & I ate
dungeness crab for the first time! How adorable is he?!

If you're ever in any of these areas, check these places out! Be on the look out for my post in a few days about our two favorite wineries in Wine Country!

xoxo
Amanda
